​A piece for Trumpet & Piano based on the Japanese scale, Hirajoshi.  There is a slow introduction and then a quicker B section.  When you listen to the recording, you will first hear the Hirajoshi pentatonic scale.  It has the initial interval of a minor second, which makes it sound like the Phrygian mode.  It was written for my colleague Takako who asked for a piece for trumpet and piano.
