The Wild Swans will be premiered on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m. at MacPhail Center for Music, 501 S. 2nd St., Minneapolis, MN and Sunday, Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. at the Southern Theater, 1420 S. Washington Ave., Minneapolis, MN  There is a $5 - 10 suggested donation at the door.

The Wild Swans is a presentation in story, song and dance of Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairy tale about 11 princes, 1 princess and, of course, a wicked step-mother.  Christina Baldwin, singer and narrator, will be joined by a six piece musical ensemble and a cast of professional and student dancers living with and without disabilities.  Original music has been composed by Sarah Miller, and the dance is being choreographed by Gretchen Pick and the Young Dance All Abilities class.  

Sarah Miller is a fiscal year 2014 recipient of an Artist Initiative grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation by the Minnesota State Legislature; and by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
